This project is a collaboration between myself as a visual artist and the research team at Coventry University.
The researchers interviewed 84 creative freelancers about their experiences. My involvement was to collaborate with them on the follow-up project “In Their Own Words” to visually bring the freelancers’ stories to life, and to communicate key findings from the interviews in an engaging, accessible way. The goal was to increase awareness of issues faced by creative freelancers and influence those who support them. This allowed me to apply my artistic skills to shine a light on this important yet underrepresented group within the creative sector.
